PureWeave help
A little help while you shop.
Start with a clothing product page in Chrome on your computer. PureWeave checks the retailer’s declared materials and keeps missing information visible.
Installing PureWeave
The Chrome release is coming soon. Once it is available, the installation button on our homepage will take you to the official Chrome Web Store listing. Chrome will ask you to confirm installation.
After installing, open Chrome’s puzzle-piece Extensions menu and pin PureWeave. Visit a product page, choose the colour or style you want, and click the PureWeave icon. No PureWeave account or access key is needed.
No materials found?
- Open the retailer’s Materials, Composition or Fabric section.
- Wait for the selected product’s details to load.
- Choose Recheck in the sidebar.
Some retailers do not disclose the materials, restrict access or use a layout the reader cannot interpret. A missing or unresolved result is preferable to a guessed composition.
Changed a colour or style?
Check the product and selection named in the sidebar. Detected selection changes remove the old report. If a page has not supplied enough information to match the current choice, PureWeave asks for another check instead of assuming that a different variant has the same fabric.
Automatic checks are optional
Allow automatic product checks opens Chrome’s optional website-access prompt. You can decline and use the toolbar for one-off checks. You can also pause automatic checks, exclude the current website or revoke access in the sidebar.
Automatic checks update the result and badge. They do not open the sidebar for you. Use Preferences to choose the materials and percentages that matter to you; these are personal choices, not safety ratings.
Free and planned Premium
The product plan keeps composition and the material score in Free. Premium is planned for Preferences, preference flags and Brand pages. No subscription is available to purchase.
Current preview builds already include local Preferences and preference flags at no charge; they do not enforce paid access. Brand pages have not been released. The planned features shown on this website are demonstrations, not a live brand dataset or an offer to subscribe.
Where PureWeave works
The first release focuses on English-language clothing product pages on secure HTTPS websites in desktop Chrome. Results depend on the retailer’s declarations and page structure. Chrome’s own pages, the Chrome Web Store, local files, incognito windows and HTTP websites are outside the supported path.
Category, search, cart, checkout and account pages are not product checks. The extension is not an iPhone or Android app. Read how the material check works for the meaning and limits of a result.
Contact
Our support mailbox is being set up. Contact details will appear here before the public Chrome release.
When reporting a problem later, include the public product URL, selected colour or style, what happened and your Chrome version. Remove personal information from screenshots. Your reports are not sent automatically.
